This week we have been making Valentine cards with collage and glitter, so you may have noticed that your children have emerged from pre-school looking a little sparkly!
This week the letter of the week has been ‘d’. We are amazed at how the children have responded to learning the letters and their sounds. They are really engaged in the circle time activities and like finding words that begin with the weekly letter. 😃 The letter after half term will be ‘t’.
Next week is half term. There are still a few spaces available for holiday club next Monday and Tuesday, so if you would like your child to attend, please speak to a member of staff.
We also have some spaces at breakfast club. The children enjoy sitting down to eat their breakfast together!
This week I am starting a 12 week training programme and so if you are used to seeing me in pre-school on Thursdays I will not be in for a while, although my other days will continue as usual. The course is the Early Years Senco Award, which is a new qualification being introduced across parts of the country to ensure that special needs provision is of a good standard. Having not taken part in formal education for a few years, I’m hoping I’ll be able to cope! I will continue to update the blog on Fridays, so don’t forget to check in each week.
We hope you have a good half term and that the weather is kind. We look forward to welcoming you back at pre-school on Monday 25th February.
There was a lot of glitter around! Good luck with the course!
The hoover took a lot of punishment! Thank you! 😄
