This week we have experienced very changeable weather, from a hot and sunny Monday:
To a very rainy Thursday!
As you can see, we try to get outside whatever the weather. Talking about and experiencing changes in the natural world is important for learning and we have also been looking at the changes due to Autumn arriving. Seeing the leaves falling from the trees and feeling the temperature dropping leads to lots of discussion.
More children received the ‘tip top tidy upper’ trophy this week. Well done! We hope you are as fantastic at helping out at home!
Some children played a number game this week. They had to collect all of the pieces needed to make the caterpillar. Sharing fun activities with the children is the best way to encourage learning in all areas of the curriculum and the children enjoyed finding the numbers 1-10 to complete the game.
Mrs Chapple made some playdough with the children and we were very impressed with the imaginative things they created. It also gave them practice with using various tools.
Lots of the children have enjoyed experimenting with the musical instruments this week, which hasn’t necessarily been as enjoyable for the adults! By Friday we really were beginning to wish we could put the drum in the cupboard!
So once again it was another busy week for us!
Take care everyone, have a good weekend!
Ah we love the rain pictures – they all look so excited to be outside. They are all learning so much!
The children are much keener on the rain than the grown ups!😂
