We have had a nativity filled week this week, with both performing and spectating! On Thursday we performed our nativity for the residents at Greenacres. The children did really well and the audience enjoyed it immensely, joining in with the carols and songs that they knew.
Two of our children had bought presents for the residents, which were greatly appreciated.
We also made a card to give to everyone at the care home.
This was our last visit to Greenacres this year. I’m sure you’ll agree that it has been a wonderful experience for everyone. We are very much looking forward to continuing the relationship in the new year.
On Friday we were invited to big school to watch the foundation nativity. We were so impressed with the foundation classes and it was absolutely lovely to see how the children who used to come to preschool have blossomed since their move up. These links with foundation are very important to us and really help to make the move to primary school as smooth as possible. Thank you to Mrs Stapleton and Miss Watts for a fantastic show! 👏👏👏
This week we did some large group Christmas craft, creating some festive murals for our display boards. The children worked cooperatively to decide how to decorate the cut outs and I’m sure you’ll agree that they did a great job!
We decided to put a tip that we picked up on a training course into practise this week. As I’m sure you’ll know, it can be hard to get boys to sit and practice their fine motor skills, but when we stuck the paper underneath the table, they suddenly found this activity a lot more fun!

Dont forget our Christmas party next Thursday and our nativity on Friday. Also on the following Monday (17th Dec) we are having a pyjama day with hot chocolate and relaxation(!) so if your child attends on this day, please send them in in their pyjamas.
A final reminder: we still have lots of raffle tickets waiting to be sold so if you haven’t yet bought yours, don’t miss out. The prizes are looking great! 🎁
I love reading your blogs and looking at the photographs. We’re glad you enjoyed our nativity, The pre-school children sat amazingly well and were a real credit to you all. Look forward to watching yours next week x

Thanks for your help on Friday. 😀 We do feel very grateful for the opportunity with Greenacres.
I was really impressed with the singing on Friday at the Greenacres. The children have clearly enjoyed preparing for their performance. I’m really looking forward to the next performance on Friday this week. Am I right in thinking this will be in the school hall.
Thank you so much for helping! 😀 Yes, Friday’s nativity is in the school hall.
