This week we have been exploring lots of creative activities involving paint.

The children made pictures using bubbles. We kept reminding them that they had to blow and not suck!

We painted with cars…

Marbles…

And we also wrapped some balloons in netting and painted with them. It was generally a very messy week, but also very exciting!

You may have noticed that your child has been keen to help with the washing up lately! If so this might be because we have been encouraging the children to wash their own plates and cups after snack. If we manage to train them to hoover and use a washing machine we will let you know! (Wouldn’t that be nice!) 😂

Visits to Greenacres have moved to Thursday afternoons for a while. We like to change the day occasionally  to allow more children to have a chance to go. Our relationship continues to develop and flourish and we feel like a big happy family, so much so that if one of our children has a birthday on a visit, the care home likes to give then a little cake and all of the residents sing ‘Happy Birthday’.

This week the children played skittles at Greenacres.

Now the weather is hopefully going to improve, we are also going to have visits from a couple of the residents on a Monday afternoon. The children love to show them what we have been doing at preschool, which is really good for their communication skills.

Next week our letter of the week will be ‘i’. On Thursday it is World Book Day so if your child would like to bring in their favourite book throughout the week and dress up as a book character on Thursday that would be lovely! Also, if any of you would like to come in and read a story to the group, the children would be excited! Let us know if you fancy it. 😀
