This Thursday was World Book Day and it was lovely to see everyone dressed up as a book character. We enjoyed reading some of the books that were featured too!
On Tuesday the older children who remember Mr David went for a walk to Collings Park to visit his tree. We also planted some fruit and vegetables in our planter.
For St David’s day on Wednesday the children planted daffodils in the garden, painted welsh dragons and daffodils and made Welsh cakes, which were really delicious!
As you will know, we have been visiting Greenacres care home on Friday afternoons again. It’s been lovely to be able to resume this activity and both the children and the elderly residents have been really enjoying it.
We had a lovely week.
As you may have seen on our newsletter, our open door afternoon will be on Thursday 28th March 1-3pm. We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to make it and are looking forward to seeing you. Keep an eye on Tapestry for more details nearer the time.
We have been asked to share the following information about fostering school readiness with you. PACEY is the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years and it is a charity dedicated to supporting everyone involved in childcare and early years to provide high quality services, information and advice to children, their families and carers. The following link contains really good advice to help you to ensure that your child is as ready as they can be to make the transition to ‘big’ school:

Have a good weekend everyone, take care and see you next week!
