This week we have been having lots of fun! We painted our feet and danced to chinese music which made a lovely picture. Moving to different types of music is part of the curriculum and helps with the childrens’ gross motor skills as they negotiate space.
We talked about which Chinese zodiac sign the children were born under. We currently have a preschool made up of snakes, horses and rams. If you add all of the teachers we are quite a menagerie!
When the rain stopped for a bit we took the chalks outside and the children did some big drawings.

If anyone fancies some decorating done, here is a sample of our work!
On Friday we made noodles which the children attempted to eat with chopsticks. They did pretty well!

Please feel free to provide feedback on any aspect of the blog or preschool via the feedback forms at the bottom of the page. Anything you wish to tell us is good to hear, no matter how big or small – we would really like the blog to be a two way street! It’s also lovely if you can let us know about anything important your child has taken part in or achieved outside school so that we can celebrate with them or talk to them about their interests. I have finally worked out how to access and reply to your comments, so keep them coming and I will do my best to keep up! In addition to this we have begun a system of ‘postcards from home’. These are forms which you can fill out to let us know what your child has done whilst not at preschool. If you would like one ask a member of staff to point you in the right direction!

Max enjoyed making noodles today; he said using the chopsticks was hard but fun! Thank you for offering them such a wealth of different experiences!
Glad he enjoyed it Kate. They were all giving it a good go and had less on the floor than the teachers would have!
