This week has been an exciting one for us, with wedding celebrations, sunshine and digging for worms! 🐛

We had a lovely surprise last weekend when one of our families spruced up our planter at Collings Park. Now the children can practise their number recognition and look at our beautiful new sign. Thank you SO much for your hard work, the results are fabulous!IMG_4139 IMG_4142

We really can’t wait for our next visit. 👏😀

We could once again celebrate a swimming achievement this week. We love to hear about what your children do and would love more of you to share this news with us. 4B9A6EAE-EC0C-4200-B951-114BFEACFACD

Many of our children are learning Spanish with Laura and this week she took the lessons outside to take advantage of ‘el sol’! It has been demonstrated that learning an additional language is very beneficial for childrens’ development and if anyone would like to take advantage of Laura’s expertise, a place on her course is available for a small fee. Please feel free to ask a member of staff for more information.711918F5-9870-47FC-87D7-B318D761A631 B4A63478-4120-48E9-9EB7-086EBFAECBAC

As previously mentioned, we have spent some time looking for worms this week. The children loved showing us what they found!1CB1E31D-2F8E-4348-8179-55356EF609E6 289578D5-FE2A-458B-AF5E-4B55E3E23C60

For the children who were less keen on the wildlife(!), we also played some board games. Games such as these teach the children to share and take turns and are also excellent listening practise, as they must pay attention to the instructions and to each other.49CEFF58-B16E-4A31-A5BD-35E3901798D5 C5082CC5-ABD0-47E3-AAD8-D37FC74F66E1

On Friday we celebrated the royal wedding. We all dressed up in red, white and blue!B610FFE0-ABAE-4C24-8D42-C15FC5D9ACB2

The children made flags, bunting and special crown biscuits.3A7E71F0-2CEB-4CE3-BC38-85F2693597C9 0CD869FA-2DAF-4965-88B7-D85C513022EA2A86F6A9-7573-409B-8F05-3EC78FB3B2D8FAEFAC1F-759E-4D4B-9296-4E202ABDE3AD21185EAE-8CFE-43A9-AF25-3F1917514404EF0066A0-D572-4111-B2B6-E921220CEF122C19CBC7-76D1-4A7D-9FC2-2755A6967B3F3199B6E1-ABCC-4CF8-B44D-E36F72C66576EEDF447A-5DFC-4311-8F17-B66774955C1EB9D48FE0-8122-49A3-8430-349A8E7A5160BBE5EF4D-5310-418F-9E8B-1CA976A0BE5D623A73B6-9794-45E4-95BA-8ADB036B93729F9B4CD1-CC1D-4CBA-8577-C06027AAE894

Finally – a request! Our children are absolutely loving our mud kitchen and we would like to extend this activity. If you have any unwanted kitchen equipment (such as pots and pans, spoons and the like), or worn out appliances (kettles, toasters, microwaves or similar), we would be very grateful for them. Thanks!
