We hope that you have all had a lovely half term and have enjoyed the sunshine! This week we have come back with lots of enthusiasm and have done plenty of fun things.

Please make sure that you have a look at the newsletter that we have just sent home and posted here. There are lots of exciting things coming up and we wouldn’t want you to miss any of the action! This term always tends to be busy so it is a good idea to keep checking online for information and updates.

This week we have had a visit from Betty from Greenacres. The children always love having these visitors and like to show what they have been doing each week. Being able to share their achievements is wonderful for increasing their confidence and explaining what happens at pre-school is excellent for enhancing their communication skills.F056EA81-CF9B-4C57-941D-686FA99A7D73

We were also able to visit the home this week, and are thrilled that this is to become a regular occurrence. The children loved using their fabulous garden and the equipment that had so kindly been bought for them. Laura conducted her Spanish class while we were there and the residents seemed to enjoy the extra tuition! They also enjoyed blowing bubbles and then all cooled down with a drink and an ice cream.E08F330A-E44E-4DC6-B638-0662BF331372 2E530D83-769F-44F2-9C4B-6150706AE56C

As detailed in the newsletter, we are going to hold a sports afternoon at Greenacres on Friday 13th July, from 2-3pm. More details about this will be provided soon, so keep checking in!

We have taken advantage of the good weather to get the sandpit up and running this week and the children have enjoyed digging and making sandcastles.E47B4F6E-C0E7-4AFF-9612-95C55B648455

We have been extra busy lately preparing transfer documents and summative reports for all of the children, which will be sent home in the next few weeks. Using the computer to complete these for the first time is sometimes proving challenging, but we will keep going! 😂 B04E407D-5099-428E-A6E2-CB0171F8D176Don’t forget to sign up for the parents’ evening if your child is due to start primary school in September. Those children who are staying will have a summative report which will let you know how your child is progressing, but do not need to attend the parents’ evening. Don’t forget however that we have an open door policy and that you are welcome to speak to your child’s key worker or view their learning journal at any time.
