We had an exciting visitor this week. One of our parents is a police officer and he came in to talk to the children about his profession and also brought in some equipment to show them. Everyone had a turn trying on the uniforms.
We also had an opportunity to have our fingerprints taken!
Mr David volunteered to be handcuffed, but may have regretted his decision!😂
It was a really interesting visit, and a great opportunity for the children to learn about the jobs that people do to serve the community. We’re so grateful to parents who give their time to come in and enrich the curriculum. 👏
For obvious reasons, football fever has continued to grip pre-school! On Wednesday, we designed our own England kits (three dinosaurs anyone?) and Mrs Chapple brought in a table football game. Luckily, like the England team, the children managed to break the penalty shootout curse!
Just to round off an exciting week, we visited Greenacres on Friday afternoon and were accompanied by the cameras from BBC SouthWest’s Spotlight programme! They were very interested in the relationship we have fostered with Greenacres and the benefits it gives to their residents and our children, and wanted to feature us on the radio and TV. We have been informed that the item will appear on Spotlight next week, so keep an eye on the schedules!
Such an exciting week! Max loved seeing Martin – despite not quite grasping that Harry’s daddy wasn’t dressing up! Max also keeps singing ‘three lions on my shirt’. An exciting week with still another couple of weeks with exciting things happening!
The visit from Harry’s dad and the trip to Greenacres has brought a great deal of conversation to our dinner table this week. What fantastic curriculum enrichment!
It’s been a great week Kate, with lots of fun and excitement. We have enjoyed it as much as the children.
George has also loved Greenacres 🙂
Trust George to be around that football table! He has been talking non stop about Greenacres and loves going 🙂
George has loved the football table! Glad he has enjoyed our visits to Greenacres. 😀
