This week we have been making Christmas cards. We have painted our feet to make footprints for these which was very tickly! Writing inside has been good for our fine motor skills, as has sticking on the little eyes and pom pom noses (especially good practise for a pincer grip)
When the weather is dry we have been making the most of our outdoor space. Seeing the changes to the plants and trees as the weather gets colder and Winter arrives is important in developing our understanding of changes over time. We also talk about the need to wear warm clothes and to wash our hands after we touch the sand and the toys outside (self-care skills).
Thank you for all of your raffle donations. Tickets are now on sale at £1/strip so don’t forget to buy yours for a chance to win. Good luck everyone!.
We made the most of a sunny day to visit our planter at Collins Park. The children decorated the plot with some decorations and put up a Happy Christmas sign.
We also used found materials to make a reindeer face!
Then we decided to go on a bear hunt! It was very exciting!
Please keep practising our Christmas songs with your children as we are going to be performing at the Greenacres Care Home on Monday 4th December at 2pm. This will be for the children who usually attend on this session and will be a lovely opportunity for them to sing to the residents who we hope will be thrilled to hear their efforts! As you may be aware there has been a lot in the news recently about the benefits of contact between the generations for both old and young and we are delighted to be doing our bit to promote this.
