This week we have been making our Father’s Day cards. It was lovely to hear why the children love their daddies, even though some reasons were a little bit random! Make sure that you check your child’s bookbag if you haven’t received yours as we do our utmost to ensure that everyone is included.
Another fantastic out of school achievement this week: swimming certificates. We reckon that soon we’ll be able to set up out own outpost of Baywatch! Well done to all of you who work so hard on your various activities.
Also this week we revisited our ‘disco footprint’ activity as it was so popular the first time round! We hope you weren’t too perturbed if you spotted a bit of paint between your childrens’ toes. We like this activity as it is an excellent way to ensure that the children learn to negotiate space and move around co-operatively. It is also lovely to see them painting each others feet and gratifying that they choose to help each other in this way independently.
This week we decided to buy a tent for the children to use in our outside area. As well as providing shelter from the sun in our glorious Plymouth climate ☀️⛈, it is also a good stimulus for role play. Here is a picture of lots of us ‘Carry on Camping’ style!
In keeping with our ‘great outdoors’ week, we also visited our planter at Collins Park. We transplanted our carrots and now hope that we will have some actual carrot as well as the abundant green tops!
As you can see, normal service has been resumed with our photos. I will also be uploading some photos missed from last weeks blog, so please check back.
