Two weeks to catch up on due to the snow! We hope you enjoyed the unusual weather (but maybe not the empty supermarket shelves or slippery pavements!)

The children really enjoyed science fortnight. Last week we made some cloud dough which was very popular.DA427803-E3F3-484B-A5C7-0E51F34D077A 94DA5344-5316-4910-A167-C68F0EBBD176 0A314501-9D34-4FCC-A33B-3646B2A31863If you would like to have a go at home here is the recipe:

8 parts flour

1 part vegetable oil

Mix until combined and smooth. (Nice and easy!)

This week saw the arrival of our eggs.EB74B346-DD33-48CA-82A6-91BF82C453C0 91CFAF85-A92E-49AE-AB8A-3A85B86C32A3 This was very exciting for everyone and soon we welcomed our first duckling – Uno.A13EAFBC-D247-46EA-A59C-FBE5D9553AE4 Uno was quickly followed by Dos and Gem and the children had an opportunity to hold the ducklings and help to care for them.17478BAE-B3E6-4F3B-A751-E375878294BD 8E300C54-4E32-4F16-947B-350DC7950D57 63133BBC-C125-44A6-B44B-A9B89F0752FD E0E4E922-B776-40A3-B3D4-3B95E1C274F6 They even gave them a bath which the ducklings really enjoyed!652C0319-29B9-4585-972F-16BEF9A5373D

We hope you agree that this whole experience has been really lovely and has produced many opportunities for learning. We have noticed that pre-school has been buzzing this week and that the children have been talking about the events and asking lots of new questions about what they have seen. We have talked about life cycles and how we can properly care for other living creatures. The children have been careful and caring with the ducklings and we are very proud of them.

Finally this week (spoiler alert!), we have been making Mothers Day cards. If you fail to get one on Sunday make sure you check your child’s bookbag as we are very careful to ensure that no one is left out! We hope you have a fantastic day on Sunday and are spoiled rotten!0CB508F4-6746-48AC-9A04-BDF82216BEF5
