Welcome back to a new academic year and a big warm welcome to our new families. It has been all systems go and our main focus has been ensuring our children become happy and settled as quickly as we can. Therefore I apologise for the delay in our first weekly blog post!
We aim to update this every Friday where we share a snippet of what the children have been up to during the week as well as posting some information you may need!
As our focus has been about making sure the children have been happy we have had very loose planning and have been led by the children. They have enjoyed playing with our Gruffalo area, role play kitchen and of course the garden area.
We have read lots of books, make lots of pictures and played with the playdough!
The children have done fantastic with coming in and although we do still have some wobbles, they are short lived and they are settling much quicker.
We were able to resume our visits to Greenacres care home this week. The children were keen to visit and really enjoyed it!
Over the last two weeks Mrs Jones has updated her paediatric first aid certificate. All members of staff have their certificate and go on their refreshers every 3 years.
Next week on Friday 26th September at 9:00am – 10:30am, we would like to invite the parents into preschool for a McMillan cake morning. This will be a nice opportunity for you to come into the preschool with your child and discuss how they have been settling into preschool. This is for all children even if it’s not your child’s day.
Also Miss Warren will be off on holiday to watch her best friend get married in sunny Greece. Myself and Sharon will be covering Chloe’s hours.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Sam & Team 😁
