This week we have continued our nature theme.
We made bird feeders from all of the toilet roll tubes that you brought in (thank you so much for that!)
Some children were happy to handle Steve our stick insect, but others weren’t so keen! He has been growing very quickly, which has led to lots of discussion. We are going to measure him regularly from now on so that will be a good way to introduce lots of mathematical concepts too.
We have also been finding bugs outside, which has been helped by the beautiful weather.
Once we had de-bugged the sandpit we could fill it with sand, which was lots of fun.
The children spent time inside as well. They enjoyed making biscuits, which smelt delicious!
The children also had a food tasting session. They had to wear blindfolds to taste a variety of different foods.
We had lots of fun!
Well done to our trophy winners this week.
