What a busy week it has been this week! We have enjoyed hearing about everyone’s half term and sharing the photos you have added onto Tapestry to show their friends.
We have introduced the children to a new traditional tale of Goldilocks and the three bears which they have enjoyed re-enacting in our role play areas. You couldn’t see the floor through the porridge oats!
We have talked about St David’s day which is happening on Saturday. One of our families made some Welsh cakes for us to have at snack time which all the children (and staff) devoured! We talked about how some Welsh families celebrate the day and talked about the significance of the daffodil and leek. We made some yummy biscuits shaped like daffodils!
Whilst cooking the children were able to identify the ingredients that was needed. I told them how much we needed of each ingredient and what numbers that would make. Once the children started adding the ingredients we kept checking to see if it was the right weight.
We had our visit to the care home this week where the children enjoyed some parachute games.
The children have been really busy inside and out at preschool this week and we have certainly enjoyed the sunshine the later part of this week.

A reminder that on Thursday is World Book Day and if your child would like to come into preschool dressed as their favourite book character then they may do so. Also if your child would like to do a ‘book swap’ then this can happen all week so please send your child in with a book should they wish to swap it.
