The children have continued to settle in this week and we have had lots of fun activities.
We filled the water tray with magic beads which get bigger when they are put in water. It was interesting to hear the childrens’ predictions about what would happen and their descriptions of what actually did happen!
We also used some shaving foam in our trays. This is a fun and novel way for children to practice their early writing and motor skills.
While the weather stays fine we like to spend as much time as possible outside. We were busy looking after our garden.
Inside we decorated some biscuits with icing and sprinkles. This is a good opportunity to emphasise hand hygiene.
Autumn has arrived and we collected some conkers for the children to explore. We like to talk about all of the changes that we will see this season.
It has been a busy week!
Well done to our trophy winner this week!
Our student Craig has returned to work with us this week and will be with us every Wednesday and Thursday until Christmas. Craig is in his final year of a level 3 childcare course and is working hard to finish his qualification.
Please could we ask that you are on time when dropping off your child at pre-school. We start at 8.30 am. The first part of our morning is registration and circle time and this period is very important to ensure that the children are settled and ready to have the best possible pre-school day. For this reason we are not always able to open the gate until we have finished registration as we are literally ‘all hands on deck’ so if you are unavoidably late you may find that you have a short wait before we can let you in. Thank you!
Have a lovely weekend everyone! Take care and see you next week! ❤️❤️❤️
