Just in case this is the first time you have checked the website this week and haven’t heard the news, we are delighted to have received our official Ofsted report. We were given a rating of OUTSTANDING for the second time, which is very exciting. Once again thank you for all of your support, we couldn’t have done it without you!
Our activities this week have included a lot of Halloween things which everyone has really enjoyed. On Thursday we all dressed up in our costumes.
We played party games, such as ‘pass the pumpkin’ and musical bumps. These are very good when teaching the children how to take turns and manage their feelings if they don’t win!
We also tried apple bobbing, but the children weren’t too keen on getting wet! The adults gave it a try, but only Mrs Chapple has any success!
We made some Halloween food, such as chocolate apples and scary cakes!
We were invited to a party at the care home, where we played pass the parcel and sang some songs with the residents, including ‘the ghosts on the bus’!
Please can we request that you always send your child’s bookbag in with them. This is especially important at this time of year as we have lots of letters and things to send home. Thank you.
We will be running our holiday club on one day only during the Christmas holiday- Friday 20th December. So if you would like to have a child-free day to do your last minute Christmas jobs, please see a member of staff to book your child’s place.
This week I attended a SENCo briefing, in which I was kept up to date with all of the SENCo developments across the city. It’s always interesting to see how Plymouth is working to meet the requirements of children with special needs.
Don’t forget to book your slot for the parents evening on Tuesday 12th November, 6-8 pm. The list is on the door for you to sign up.
Next week our letter of the week will be ‘n’ and our MAKATON sign is ‘play’.
Looks like a week of lots of spooky fun! The chocolate apples were a hit here! Thank you
We all had a great time! 👍
Well done for your ofsted rating! You should all be soooo proud of the hard work you put in everyday with our children
Thanks- that’s very kind 😀
