This week we continued our Nativity practice. The children are doing really well and we hope to have a fantastic production ready for you on the 9th December. As you have probably seen on tapestry, you will need to provide a costume for your child. Don’t worry about making this too fancy, we love to see the use of tea towels or tinsel in the traditional way! 🎄🎅
You will need to bring your child to Emmanuel church at 1.15pm on the 9th already dressed in their costume. Look forward to seeing you all then.
We have done a lot of things this week.
Well done to our trophy winner this week!🏆
At the moment we are very busy writing summative reports for your children. These are brief reports which let you know how your child is getting on at pre-school. In the new year we are going to hold a parents evening so you can come in and have a meeting with your child’s keyworker. Don’t forget though that we have an open door policy which means that you are free to talk to us at any time if you would like to tell us anything, ask any questions or just have a chat!
This week myself and Sam Matthews had a 2 day paediatric first aid refresher course. This was quite hard work but was full of very important information and techniques. All staff at pre-school hold an up to date first aid certificate as we feel that these skills are essential.
Thank you to all of you who have donated food and drink for our hampers and also those who have already bought raffle tickets. If you would still like to do this please see/hand any items to a member of staff.👍
This week we have received some guidance from Plymouth City Council about choking hazards which we thought we would share with you. This gives you tips on preparing foods in your child’s lunchbox:

These resources obviously contain advice on preparing nuts and nut products, but please remember that we aim to be a nut-free pre-school. We also are currently asking that eggs do not feature in your child’s lunchbox due to a child having an egg allergy. Thanks!
We hope you have a lovely weekend. See you next week. ❤️❤️❤️
