This week we have been continuing our science week as it was so much fun.
We made volcanos with the children which we ‘erupted’ using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. The ‘lava’ was very volatile!
If you would like to have a go at this at home, here is what to do:

We also did lots of baking this week. Cookery is a great way to introduce children to lots of early scientific principles, such as changes of state, as well as reinforcing maths skills like measuring and number.
We welcomed two new additions to the pre-school this week: our stick insects. The children have decided to call them Steve and Stella. At the moment we are all playing ‘hunt the stick insect’ as they are very small, but hopefully they will start to grow soon (not too big though!)
On Friday it was red nose day and everyone dressed up in red or as superheroes.
We had another great week!
Miss Warren had a course this week called ‘First Time Fridays’. We are grateful that we can participate in online training, but are looking forward to returning to face-to-face courses at some point this year!
There are limited spaces available for half term holiday club. If you would like to book in, please see a member of staff.
We hope that you all have a lovely weekend. Take care everyone! ❤️❤️❤️
