This week we have been spending lots of time outside as the weather has been so beautiful. The children worked together to paint a giant fish for our wall.
Inside we baked some biscuits. The children chose which cutter they would like to use from our big box. We had a wide variety of shapes, including Halloween pumpkins and Christmas trees!
We’ve done lots of painting, writing and drawing this week.

Some more details on a number of diary dates now. This final half term of the year tends to be very busy so we like to let you know when to expect things!
Our Sports Day will be on July 4th from 10.30-12.30 at Greenacres Care Home. We are planning to have lunch there so please bring a picnic. If your child attends on a Tuesday and you are able to help us to walk over to the care home please let us know. If the weather is bad it will be cancelled and there will be a normal preschool day. As this will be an offsite event, the safety of everyone is paramount. If your child doesn’t usually attend preschool on a Tuesday and you would like them to come, please note that you will be responsible for them on this day and you can meet us at Greenacres at 10.30. Please let us know ASAP if you will or won’t be attending so that we can be aware of which children will be under parent supervision on this day. There will be a Tapestry post very soon with all of these details, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Any questions please speak to a member of staff.
Our Leavers Celebration is on Tuesday 18th July at 2pm. If you’re child is in on a Tuesday afternoon and is not leaving to go to primary school this year, please could we ask that you pick them up at 1.30pm on this day. Children who don’t attend on a Tuesday but who are leaving for school should be dropped in at 1.50pm so that we can get ready for the big show! As this will be held in preschool and space is very limited, we are afraid that there will have to be a maximum of 2 adults in attendance and please could any prams be left outside.
Our Parents Evening for school leavers is on Monday 26th June 4-6pm. There is now a signing up sheet on the door for you to book your 15 minute slot. Before this date you will receive your child’s transfer document. Please read, sign and add any comments to this and bring it to your meeting. Thank you!
