This week we have celebrated Valentine’s Day, which has given the children the opportunity to tell everyone about people that they love. We also did a variety of valentine themed crafts, such as cards:
Chocolate hearts:
And biscuits:
We used shaving foam for letter writing practice. It makes it really fun!
Another tip top tidy upper was crowned this week!
We had a staff meeting this week and have a few dates for your diaries. Next half term should be action packed. We are beginning with science week, which is very exciting, and then moving on to a literacy week which will include World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. On this day your child is invited to come in dressed as a character from a book. The grown ups will be in costume too: I wonder if you will be able to recognise who we are!
We are going to be looking at lots of books during literacy week and would be grateful for any book themed dressing up that you no longer want. Thank you!
On a similar note, we have run out of spare pants for girls. If you have any that have been outgrown, we would be very grateful for them. 👍
With Easter fast approaching we are going to hold an Easter themed open afternoon on Thursday 26th March, 1-3 pm. This will be an opportunity to come in for a play with your child and have a drink and some cake. We will be asking for donations of cake a bit nearer the time and will give you further information, so watch this space!
Next week is half term and after that our letter of the week will be ‘f’ and our makaton signs will be ‘help’ and ‘please’.
We hope you have a lovely break and look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 24th February.
Ill be more than happy to bake some cakes 😍
Thank you so much! I would do the same but I’m baking challenged and it would be a risk! 😂
