This week we have been really enjoying the winter sunshine and have been outside making the most of it.
We have been talking about Valentines Day and who we all love. We hope you liked your heart, biscuit and chocolates!
The children are really enjoying matching pairs games at the moment. I’m at an age where I’m finding it very difficult to keep up with them and I usually lose!
We have also been doing some craft in bigger groups, which is good as it encourages the children to cooperate and to communicate their intentions.
We’ve done lots of activities as always!
We have been sent some information about meetings for parents that can give them insights into their child’s development and behaviour and advice about these aspects of parenting. If you would like to know more about these, the details are below:
As you may know, we have begun to take the children who are due to start big school in September for a story at Compton Primary on a Monday afternoon. As we get nearer to the end of the year, we will begin to work ever more closely with Compton to familiarise the children with the setting. We organise sessions when we open the doors to the foundation rooms and garden and our children mingle with the older children and their teachers and become familiar with what to expect. This is a lovely way to help them with their transition and we are lucky to be able to do it. Watch this space for information on this in the months to come.
Next week is half term. We hope that you have a lovely week and look forward to seeing you back on Monday 20th February. Take care everyone! ❤️❤️❤️
