Happy New Year everyone and welcome back to a new term. Also a big hello to the children and families who have just started with us, it’s lovely to see you.

This term we are going to be doing some activities based on the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. You may have noticed that we have turned our home corner into the three bears cottage. Using stories for learning is a good way to include many areas of the curriculum. As well as all of the language it encourages, it also introduces mathematical concepts such as size and number and can lead to lots of interesting discussions about Goldilock’s actions in entering the bears’ home and damaging their possessions! 🐻🐻🐻👩🏼

Some children enjoyed seeing Steve the stick insect this week. We are hoping to have some new pets to join him this term, so watch this space for some exciting new arrivals!

Our new children are beginning to settle in and become accustomed to the pre-school routines.

We managed to spend some time outside this week and the children enjoyed using our bikes and scooters. They quickly get very good at negotiating space and using the equipment.🚴🏻‍♂️
