This week we have been celebrating Chinese New Year which falls on February 1st. This year will be the year of the tiger. 🐯
We started the week by making dragon masks. At New Year it is traditional to dress up in dragon costumes and dance, which is supposed to bring good luck.🐲
We also coloured some rice, which the children enjoyed playing with.
This week the children tried to eat some noodles for snack using chopsticks. Although this was quite hard, it was easier than when we tried to use them to pick up smarties! 🍜
We played some traditional Chinese music for dancing footprints.
To extend the sorting activities that we have been doing lately we decided to sort things by shape and colour this week.
We had lots of fun.
Well done to our trophy winner this week! 🏆
Don’t forget that we will be running our holiday club on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd February. If you would like any more information or to book a space, please speak to a member of staff.
Hope you have a lovely weekend and see you next week. Take care everyone! ❤️❤️❤️
