As we near the end of term, the Christmas activities are gaining momentum. We did some festive sponge painting and made angels, paper chains and fairy wands.
The classroom wasn’t the only thing being decorated this week though!
On Thursday we sang our nativity songs at Greenacres care home. The residents seemed to really enjoy listening to the children singing and joined in with the bells during ‘jingle bells’.
We also visited Consort Village, which included our usual walk through the park, singing our Christmas songs and a snowball fight!
This finished off another fantastic year of visits, which have enriched the lives of both our children and the elderly people they meet. We look forward to the relationships with Greenacres and Consort Village continuing next year.
We had a swimming certificate this week. Well done!
Don’t forget that our nativity is next Tuesday (10th). All are welcome so come and join us! Our Christmas party is also next week, on Friday 13th, so the week should be packed with fun!
A quick (and important) reminder to finish. Please don’t forget that you will need to resubmit your codes for the 30 hour funding by Tuesday 17th December to ensure that your funding will continue next term. 👍
