Welcome back everyone, we hope that you had a good half term!

This week we have have had the theme of ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’. We have made the bears’ house, with the chairs, beds and porridge, and the children have enjoyed playing with this.

The story is really good for introducing concepts of size and size comparisons. The children engaged in an activity where they had to pick out a big, medium and small bear to make a picture. They also tried to give daddy, mummy and baby bear the right chair, bowl and bed.

Tuesday was pancake day and we made pancakes for everyone, which took a lot of time as our hob isn’t the most powerful in the world! The children were very patient though and I think that the consensus was that it was worth the wait.

Next Thursday (2nd March) is World Book Day. If you would like to send your child in dressed as a book character of their choice, that would be great!

This half term we will be having some Easter activities that include an invitation for you to come and join us at pre-school. Details of this will soon be on Tapestry, so make sure that you keep looking at our posts. It’s lovely to be able to welcome you into the setting and we hope that as many of you as possible can make it in.

Just to let you know, the last day of the Spring term will be Friday 31st March and we return for the start of the Summer term on Monday 17th April. Hopefully by then we’ll have some lovely warmer days; it has been really nice to see the evenings starting to draw out in the meantime.

Have a great weekend everyone. Take care and see you next week!
