This week has seen lots of sunny weather and we have used this opportunity to do lots of gardening and planting.

Over the Easter break we were so lucky to have an outdoor makeover. A massive thank you to Sarah, her dad, Gary and Will, who all put in such a lot of work to spruce up and beautify our outside spaces. The results speak for themselves and we are so grateful! These areas also now provide extra room for small group work and quiet activities.

Even Mrs Matthews new puppy Walter did his bit!

The children really enjoyed adding their input to the new garden areas. Planting and growing are parts of the curriculum and can lead to lots of discussion and exploration.

Please note that due to the increased use of the front path area we will be locking the front gate at 9am from now on. The gate will be reopened to allow for the lunchtime transition and for afternoon pick ups from 2.45pm. If you need to gain entry between these times you will need to phone the office on 769355 to be let in.

Please be aware that grant forms need to be returned ASAP as the deadline for submission is fast approaching. Thank you!

Just to remind you that there is a bank holiday on Monday 3rd May. We will however be open on polling day, Thursday 6th May, as usual.

Half term is Monday 31st May to Friday 4th June.

We hope the weather stays sunny and beautiful, but if it does please ensure that you send your child to pre-school with sun cream already applied. We will reapply to children who stay all day. If you prefer, you can send in some named sun cream for us to use on your child or we do hold a bottle of factor 30 which we are happy to use in return for a donation of £1 to cover the cost for the term.

Finally, a couple of quick requests! We are planning to turn our home corner into a pet shop next week, so we would be grateful for any unwanted pet toys/accessories/leaflets etc. to use as props. Also we would like to make bird feeders and need toilet roll tubes for this, so if you can hand in any of these that would be great too! Thankyou.
