This week we received a very kind donation of dressing up clothes. The children were very excited to try on all of the new things and we even had our own little catwalk show!
We did lots of craft activities, such as drawing and cutting.
Another way that we encourage children to practice their fine motor skills is by preparing their own snack. Buttering crackers is quite a tricky skill.
We will be holding a parents evening on Tuesday 12th November, 6-8pm. This will be for all parents who would like to attend. There will be a rota on the door for you to sign up for a time that suits you.
This week all staff have benefited from in house Speech and Language training about information carrying words. This training helps us to assess childrens’ needs and devise strategies to help them to progress.
On our useful contacts page, I have added a link to a website which has lots of valuable information about online safety and keeping children safe when they use technology. There is also a number that you can ring for more personalised advice. To avoid the extra navigation, they can also be found here:

Our letter of the week after half term will be ‘n’, and our MAKATON sign will be ‘no’.
This week you will receive a letter with details of our Nativity and information about the role your child will take and any lines they might have. Please check your child’s book bag for this and return the reply slip ASAP. It would be great if you could practice your child’s words with them. The Nativity will take place on Tuesday 10th December at 9.30 am. We will start practising after half term, so don’t be shocked if you start to hear your child singing Christmas songs soon!
Don’t forget that next week is half term and holiday club will be running on Monday and Tuesday. We look forward to seeing you back on Monday 28th October for the wonderful and slightly nutty half term before Christmas!
Did the Letters about the Nativity go out in the end? We haven’t gotten one yet.
I think they started to go out on Friday so if you haven’t had yours it should be with you straight after half term 🙂
Thank you 🙂 just wanted to check she hadn’t lost it!
