Before we tell you about events this week, a quick recap on our Children in Need duck race last Friday afternoon. It was a very exciting event as the children watched it live! The winner was James Pond and won £10. Many thanks to those of you who donated, we raised a total of £41 which has been forwarded to the charity.
This week we began making things which your child will bring home for Christmas. Our first craft project involved printing using our fingers, which is always a bit messy and so a lot of fun!
You may have heard your child singing some of the songs from our nativity, as we began practising this week. If you do hear them, please give them lots of encouragement as we need them to be loud enough for Father Christmas to hear them!
This week our visit to Greenacres coincided with two of the residents birthdays, so we made cards to give to them. Maurice was 95!
We would never divulge a lady’s age, but Pam was delighted with her card as well!
We then all played party games, like pass the balloon, which both young and old really enjoyed!
We currently had had very few donations of food and drinks for our Christmas hampers. Please could you pass in your donations asap, as we need to make up the boxes and start to sell the raffle tickets. Many thanks in advance for helping us to continue this great Compton tradition!
As previously mentioned, our Christmas party will be on Thursday 13th December, from 9.45am – 11am. If your child does not usually attend on a Thursday morning and you would like them to come to the party, please bring them to preschool at 9.45. You will need to collect them at 11.00, again from preschool. Preschool times for those who are usually here on Thursday will be as normal. We ask that all children who are coming to the party make a donation of £2, which will cover the cost of the entertainment and refreshments. Thank you.
We wondered where the Christmas songs had come from! Looking forward to seeing the nativity. Thanks for another great week.
Glad they’re being practised at home- hope you are too! 😂
Sylvia was wide awake at 2am because she couldn’t wait to go to pre-school. After looking at the photos I can see why! It looks like you all have so much fun. Thank you for making her pre-school experience such a positive one.
That’s fab to hear, although you might not be quite so keen on the 2am start! 😆 This term is particularly fun, if rather busy. 😴
Megan’s been very enthusiastic about singing these Christmas songs and it’s lovely to hear her really getting excited about it. Looking forward to seeing them all in action at the Nativity!
Glad she’s enjoying it! Given the levels of enthusiasm it should be quite a show! 😃
Jimmy loves visiting his friends at the care home. What a lovely experience for both the children and ladies and gents st Green Acres.
They all seem to enjoy it and the children do us proud each week!
Lara really loves pre School and always ask if she’s going. Thank you for making it so enjoyable for her x x x
That’s great to hear! Thanks 😀
