Wow what a busy half-term! Unfortunately the weather has been very wet, we have put our thinking caps on to create fun activities to keep the children engaged. The climbing frame was particularly popular. The children have spent time making wonderful creations and loving the paint.
Dancing footprint was a messy fun activity and most of the children joined in.
We have been doing some fun adult led learning activities. The children made shape rockets and added numbers, we used the Numicon to match the pattern, count and find the number. They’re becoming more confident at rhyming and found it funny when we rhymed with their names. We have baked many yummy goodies such as pizza and banana muffins. The children have tried Chinese food for Chinese New Year, the crackers, noodles and corn soup was popular but the seaweed not so much.
We have enjoyed our weekly visit to the care home, this week we had a little party as we said bye to Kelly the activity coordinator. The children were lucky to receive chocolate and prizes.
When we have had a break in the weather(not often enough), we have had fun activities to enjoy in the garden. Some great fine motors going on.
We changed the room and introduced a builders construction area and a baby hospital. The children enjoyed creating different towers and models, used vehicles in stones. They dressed up, cared for the babies and even weighed them on the baby scales.
Pre-school have some new games and puzzles. The children have enjoyed playing them with their friends.
Not forgetting our resident snail Sydney, the children have cared for him and some have enjoyed holding him!

Enjoy a week off and we will see you all refreshed and raring to go for the rest of the busy term. Hopefully we will see the sunshine!
