Welcome to our first blog of the academic year. We have been very busy since we returned to pre-school and it has been lovely to welcome all of our new children and families and to see our old children after the summer break.

Although the weather has been variable (with at first the typical gorgeous sunshine after the washout 6 weeks of the holidays!) we have managed to go outside everyday.

This week we also did one of our favourite activities: dancing footprints. It’s a really fun activity that everyone enjoys but you may have noticed a little bit of paint between the toes!

We also decorated some biscuits this week which is good fine motor skill practise and also gives us an opportunity to talk about hand hygiene.

Lots of our new children are very interested in dinosaurs and so we have based some activities on this as we like to tailor what we do around what the children like.

Next Friday (29th) we are having our Macmillan coffee morning from 10-11 am. We will be serving cold drinks (for safety reasons!) and would be grateful for any cake donations that you could provide. We hope that you can pop in as it would be lovely to see as many of you as possible.

A date for your diary: half term will be the week beginning Monday 23rd of October. We will be running holiday club on the Monday and Tuesday, if you would like to reserve a space for either or both of these days, please speak to a member of staff.

Have a lovely weekend everyone. Take care and see you next week!
