This week we did a lovely messy activity- bubble printing. We like doing this a lot but sometimes we have to be very careful to remind the children to blow and not to suck!
We also made some biscuits this week. The children chose which cutters they wanted to use and it gave us fun opportunities to talk about numbers and shapes.
Following on from last week’s wolves, this week we made some ‘little red riding hoods’.
We have spent some time practising gross motor skills this week, such as throwing and catching.

One of our children was lucky enough to swim with dolphins recently and brought in some photos to share. We enjoy seeing all of the lovely things that you do outside preschool so feel free to tell us about them and bring in things to show.
Grant funding forms for next term have gone out, please complete these and return them as soon as possible. We will also need your renewed 30 hour codes, so please check that they are still valid.
Some parents have been asking about the possible impact of coronavirus. The current advice is that we should remain open, but we are constantly monitoring the official guidelines and will obviously act accordingly. We will let you know any future decisions and it is a very good idea to keep checking this blog for updates.
Similarly we are currently still taking Easter holiday club bookings. If we have to cancel based on government advice, payments will of course be refunded.
Our Easter open afternoon will still hopefully go ahead. It is on Thursday 26th March 1-3pm and will be a chance to meet up for a chat and some cake and to have some fun with your child. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Makaton signs for next week will be a surprise- ask your child to show you! Our letter will be ‘l’.
