This week it has been lovely to see all of your VE Day posts on Tapestry. It looks like you had a lot of fun!
Mrs Matthews has a video for you today. We’ve missed her videos so its lovely to have one to view! We are certainly all missing you and we hope that we can see you all again as soon as possible.
Mrs Back has been in her garden and has seen lots of wildlife. If you watch her video very carefully you will see a bee land on a flower and begin to collect the nectar. 🐝
I wonder if you can name the type of house that the bee will go to with the nectar? She is sure that you will all know what the bees will make with it and if you look at her jar you can see that soon she will need some more of this!
Miss Warren has been doing lots of baking again. She is amazing and all of her cakes and biscuits look really delicious! She should have some baking news in the future, so that’s very exciting!
She made Mr David’s favourite cake for his birthday. Do you know what she has put on the top of it? He was very lucky to have such a treat!
Mr David had a lovely birthday this week and, despite the lockdown, managed to see lots of friends online and received hundreds of cards and greetings. Thank you to everyone who wished him well! He also recorded himself performing ‘We’ll Meet Again’ for the care home residents, which I’m sure they all enjoyed.
This week I was lucky enough to have a present left on my doorstep.
Miss Warren had left me some of her treats to try! Thank you so much Miss Warren. I can confirm that they were absolutely delicious!
Mrs Chapple has been creative with our letter of the week again this week. Do you know what she has made beginning with the letter W? You might use one to care for the plants in your garden when the weather is hot and sunny. Can you see the W she has painted on the side? It looks very pretty Mrs Chapple!
As you can see it gives a very gentle watering!
Mrs Matthews has taken advantage of the new guidelines to have both a trip to the moors and to Wembury beach. At the moor she ran while Max and Finn rode their bicycles, which sounds exhausting!
They also heard some very noisy sheep and lambs! 🐑
They went looking for crabs in the rock pools at the beach. They didn’t find any, but they did find a starfish which Max wanted to show his daddy! After they photographed him they put him back safely, which is, of course, very important to do when looking for creatures at the beach.
For VE Day, they had a lovely street party, which they made some goodies for!
And they caught up with this lovely family too!
Makaton sign and letter of the week are on Tapestry as usual. Thank you once again for all of your support at this time and always! Take care. ❤️❤️❤️
