This week we have had some animal interactions. 🐌🦗🐢
On Tuesday, one of our children brought in their pet tortoise, Nipper, which was very exciting and generated a lot of conversation.
Also this week, the children were finding minibeasts outside, including a woodlouse and a snail. This gave opportunities to talk about the natural world and how to care for it.
We also continued to care for our stick insects. Somehow we think that one has gone AWOL, so lets hope it doesn’t eventually try to take over pre-school!
We made fruit kebabs this week. We talked about healthy eating and the importance of hand hygiene. It also gave opportunities for counting and fine motor skill practise.
Another fun week was had by all!
Well done to our trophy winner this week! 🏆
Sam Matthews has done amazingly well and has completed her 100k challenge ahead of time. Well done Sam! She would like to thank everyone who made a donation. 🙌🙌🙌
We have been contacted by the police this week regarding parents parking inappropriately outside the school and pre-school. Please could we ask that you do not park on the double yellow lines as this puts children in unnecessary danger. Also, patrols have been stepped up, so you will most probably be told off!
A quick request now! Some of our bikes are beginning to wear out so we were wondering if any of you had any old bikes that you no longer need and could donate. A balance bike would be especially well received! Thank you.
Don’t forget that next Thursday is the last day of term (1st April). Because of this there will be no blog next week, so we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy Easter and a lovely break. We look forward to welcoming you back for the summer term on Monday 19th April. ❤️❤️❤️🐰🐣
