We had lots of watery activities this week.💦
Mrs Matthews reinforced the importance of good hand washing with the soap and pepper activity, which you may have seen on social media. This is a really good visual demonstration of how soap repels germs and helps make this concept real for the children.
Also this week the children decided that they wanted to make some fishing rods and catch some fish!
Not enough caught for tea alas! 🐳
The children played Kim’s game this week. This is when they try to remember what is on a tray and say what is missing when something is taken away. Quite often the children are better at this than the grown ups!
Miss Warren collected some cans to use for a maths activity. This was a fun way to practice counting and number recognition.
Before the beginning of the pandemic you may know that we were having weekly visits to Greenacres Care Home. We really enjoyed these as we felt that they were so beneficial for both our children and the care home residents, For obvious reasons, we have not been able to go for nearly a year. However, as we believe this contact to be so important, we have maintained the links and have now begun to have weekly zoom calls. These have proved to be very popular!
We did lots of different things this week!
Well done to our trophy winner this week! 🏆
Another birthday this week! We hope you had a lovely day! 🎂
I brought my new puppy up for a visit this week. He caused a lot of excitement! When he got home he was quite worn out. 🐶
We hope you have a lovely weekend. Don’t forget that next week is our last before the half term holiday.
Take care everybody! ❤️❤️❤️
Oliver still talks about how to wash his hands properly which is great! We play Kim’s Game at home so he would have loved playing it in pre-school!
