Last Friday we were really lucky to have a visit from Emily from Moo Music. The children had a fantastic time joining in with the songs and dances and we recommend you checking out their activities at their cafe on Mutley Plain if you have yet to do so!
This week we have been doing some Easter craft and art.
We’ve done lots of things as usual!
This week Miss Warren had a child protection refresher course and I had the second part of one about emotional regulation.
Next Wednesday is the last day of term and we are looking forward to our Easter egg hunt and bonnet parade at Greenacres Care Home in the afternoon. Please can you ensure that your child comes to preschool that day prepared for all weather eventualities as the activities will be outside and will go ahead even if it rains. Raincoats and wellies are essential! Also if you haven’t yet paid the £1 for this we would be grateful if you could do so as any unpaid money will have to be covered by preschool. We are also still collecting £3 to cover expenses for Tuesday’s stay and play. Thank you!
We are looking forward to our Easter stay and play on Tuesday 26th 9-10.30am. It will be lovely to see as many of you as possible for this and these events should make the end of term extra fun!
We will return to preschool on Monday 15th April and we are hoping that the beginning of the summer term will see the beginning of better weather!
We have been asked to share the following information by Plymouth City Council about childcare choices and entitlements:
2-Year-old Entitlement Check- Parents Portal
Parents are now able to check their entitlement and receive codes ready for the new April 2024 2-year-old entitlement, via their GOV.UK account on HMRC.
Me 2 remains within the Citizen Portal for applications.
Childcare Choices
Did you know if you are a working parent you will have access to childcare support starting April 2024? You can use the online checker to see what help with childcare costs you can get. It’s not just for nursery or childminders. it can be used for wraparound care and activity clubs too.
