It’s been another very hot week (although we don’t want to complain about that!). The children have spent a lot of their time in the garden with water and lots of ice lollies to cool them down! Thank you to those parents who have kindly donated some too!

We are approaching the end of another academic year and the children are more than ready for a break (so are the staff 🤣) and their transition onto primary school!

As we have had two students on their work experience from secondary school we have used the extra hands and enjoyed a visit to the tennis courts and a park trip at Hartley park.

On Wednesday afternoon we took our school leavers for their last visit to the care home where Kelly the activities co ordinator planned a lovely afternoon for them. The residents were in the garden and it was set up with numerous of lovely activities for the children to enjoy.

It’s been lovely to see the children’s confidence grow throughout the year on these visits. You can see how much both generations enjoy these visits.

Preschool had won a visit from the stay and play hub where we were visited by spidey and Anna. They were shown how to be a Princess and shown some of Spider-Man’s special moves. Once they got over the initial shell shock they really loved singing and dancing with them!

We have one more busy week with our leavers celebration and party days. Keeping our fingers crossed the weather holds out for our sports day and party in the park on Friday.

All information regarding next week is posted on the notice board outside preschool so please have a look for further information.

Enjoy the sunshine! ☀️
