This week we continued our Gruffalo theme as the children are still really engaged with this. We made some playdough together, choosing the colours needed for the Gruffalo and used this to make our own Gruffalo models. The children looked very carefully at our toy and selected the dough that they needed. The results were quite varied and it was fascinating to see how each child tackled the task.
At the start of the week we gave the children some ice to explore which contained different types of vegetables (and a couple of rogue dinosaurs!). They were very excited to break up the blocks and try to identify what they found. Talking about the changes when ice melts back into water is also a good early science discussion.

Our student Craig drew a huge snake outside with the chalks this week. The children really enjoyed decorating it and decided to name it Slizzy. It looked beautiful when they had finished.

- Well done to our trophy winner this week!👍
We had a birthday this week! We hope you had a lovely day. 🎂
Next week our letter of the week will be ‘g’ and our Makaton sign is ‘play’. Ask your child for a demonstration!
Myself and Sharon took part in a SEND (special educational needs) training webinar this week. We are trying to access as much online training as possible as face to face training has been suspended for obvious reasons.
We hope you have a lovely weekend. Take care everyone, ❤️❤️❤️
