This week we began to put up our decorations, with of course a lot of help from the children! It was very exciting to put all of the baubles and tinsel on the tree (and as a bonus, this was also good fine motor skill practice!). At the end it was looking lovely, although unlike your trees at home we tend to find that it gets stripped and redecorated on a daily basis!

We also began our Christmas craft this week. We find that the Christmas theme means that even children who wouldn’t normally choose to participate in craft activities are happy to join in, especially when they think of the opportunity to take home a few handmade goodies for their families.

Nativity practice is going well.🤞🏻Make sure you have lots of tissues on hand on the 10th December because it may bring a tear to your eye. 😢

We had a birthday this week: many happy returns!

On Friday it was Children in Need day. Lots of the children came in dressed up in their spots and Pudsey things. The biscuits that the children made smelled and looked delicious! We took part in the BBC duck race on Facebook in the afternoon, which was very exciting! We have passed all of your donations, which came to a total of £38 to the charity. Thank you!

We hope that you enjoyed parents evening. It was lovely to hear your feedback. Please don’t forget though that we have an open door policy so if you ever want a chat or have a query or concern we will speak to you at any time. 😃

Don’t forget that we are collecting used kitchen roll tubes: we would be very grateful if you could save yours from the recycling and give them to us instead!

Also if you have any Christmas hamper donations please hand them to a member of staff. Thank you so much for these!

In case any of you haven’t heard, I have added an Events page to the navigation bar on this website. This is a quick way to see upcoming dates for your diary in one place. I hope that it makes your lives easier! 👍

As many of you will (unfortunately) be aware, we have experienced a sickness bug in pre-school this week. Just to remind you that our policy (and official recommendation) is that children must have been clear of symptoms for at least 48 hours before they can return to school. Thank you for your cooperation with this. 😊

Next week our letter of the week will be ‘g’ and our MAKATON sign is ‘mummy’.
