This week we began our nativity practice, so you may be hearing some Christmas songs at home! If you would like to help your child to practice, the songs can be found on YouTube as ‘Wriggly Nativity’. Don’t forget that the Nativity will be held on Tuesday 10th December. We are hoping that Father Christmas will hear our singing and may pay us a visit!

It’s not all festive prep though: we also had some other fun activities. One of our parents brought in a book about a treasure hunt and some chocolate coins so that we could stage our own. Thank you very much: the children had so much fun!A407E343-CA45-4D9E-A722-FCD83D898FC6

We also had an NSPCC pantasaurus activity. This is an initiative that aims to promote online safety for children.  The children loved decorating their pants and they looked great hung up on a washing line!AD5E0026-BE50-416C-8851-8287357FBDF61DE2FE24-EF20-47F1-AE0E-06CC073C511407FE2CE3-EEE1-444A-9321-813AE79D5D1F

We visited a new care home this week. The entertainment co-ordinator at Consort village recently contacted us asking if we would like to come and see them. It was a lovely experience that we plan to continue. The walk through the park to get there was great fun too!29FA6935-6666-4A91-AB7A-45724375E8222774194A-644E-422D-9C2D-98A65D6656D5DE684B15-16C3-49E2-9BBE-DCCC0A409A86

As it was bonfire night this week we created some firework pictures. The children love using glitter, although the hoover isn’t quite so keen! 3F033F93-CEC9-46AB-A2E7-2BCEBBDDB5DEE1950D46-1DE5-47EE-B503-CD14AED7DA85

On Friday we had a granny helper. It was lovely to welcome Mary to preschool. She had come to visit from Ireland and the children really enjoyed having her here!E2C25650-AAD6-4CFA-895D-7055A25CB094

We have purchased a new printer and have some old inks left over. They are LC123 inks for a Brother printer. If you would like to buy them we have a big box for £10, just see a member of staff. 👍

Jelly images are coming to take photos of the children on Tuesday 12th November, 1-3pm. If your child does not usually attend at this time and you would like them to have their photo taken, you are welcome to pop in with them.

We are going to hold our traditional Christmas hamper raffle again this year. Please could we ask you for donations to make up the hampers. We would be very grateful for any non perishable food items, such as chocolates, biscuits, jams, chutneys and other Christmas goodies. Once we have collected the hampers together we will be selling raffle tickets at £1 a strip. Watch this space to find out when they go on sale.

We are planning to make crackers as part of our Christmas craft and so we would be really grateful if you could pass in any used kitchen roll tubes. Thank you!

Next Friday (15th) is BBC Children in Need. We will be following the YouTube duck race event in preschool so if you would like to buy a duck and have a chance to win a prize, please see a member of staff. Also if your child would like to come to preschool wearing spots and with a donation, we will pass any proceeds to the charity.

On Friday 13th December we are having a Christmas party for the children in the school hall. All children are invited whether they usually attend on this day or not. More details nearer the date!

On our last day of term we are having a pyjama day. Children who attend on this day are invited to arrive in their pyjamas and we will be having a nice relaxing day of watching movies and drinking hot chocolate! Sounds perfect before the Christmas mania begins! 😀
