Now we’re getting near the end of term we’re starting to concentrate even more on the messy fun things! This week the children had a great time with gloop. Although this activity looks like everyone just making a big mess, it’s also introducing the children to a ‘non-Newtonian fluid’! (oo er!) 😂
We had an exciting time on Wednesday when a young (and very hot!) wren flew in through the window! He stopped for a drink and to show himself to the children before flying off.
Friday was of course the day of our Sports Day at Greenacres Care Home. Thank you to everyone who joined us- we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. Also we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Greenacres and Mrs Soper. It’s a privilege to work alongside them to provide such a fabulous opportunity for both our children and the care home residents. The sports teams worked together so well during the event and really encouraged and supported each other. We love our sports days as they are all about taking part and having fun at this age. 😃

A certificate this week:
Not for swimming, football or dance, but my certificate for completing the early years SENCo qualification. Sharon and I had a celebration event at the university which was very nice (especially the cake!) On Friday I was lucky enough to be able to attend a SEND conference in Birmingham. It’s great to have an opportunity to learn about the latest developments and to meet SENCos from all over the country.
Don’t forget our leavers celebration on Monday, party days on Tuesday and Wednesday (your child will not need lunch on these days), last day at the preschool on Thursday and Party in the Park on Friday. A last busy week before the holidays begin! 🙌🎉

Thank you to everyone who came to sports day, personally I really enjoyed it. A massive thank you to all our helpers and Greenacres care home. I would like to say a massive congratulations to Mrs Beal on her award. Sam worked really hard and committed 100% to this course, and this will benefit the preschool. Well done Sam 👏
