We have come to the end of a very long and busy first half term of the academic year! As it’s been so busy it’s made it tricky for me to give you our weekly updates so I wanted to make sure you all were able to see some of the things we have been up to this half term.
We are so pleased with how well the children have settled into preschool and they are now, on the whole, coming into preschool happily. For those who are still needing a bit of encouragement are settling very quickly once they are with us.
They have been making lots of new friendships amongst their peers.
We have enjoyed getting extremely messy with a variety of activities!
One of my favourite activities were very much enjoyed by the children, although we did have some that ended up with Smurf looking feet 🤦🏼♀️ We won’t use the blue paint for this activity again!
We have managed to do quite a few visits to Greenacres to see the residents this half term. The children have enjoyed playing games with the residents.
This week we have done lots of Halloween themed activities such as making Halloween shaped biscuits, chocolate apples, pumpkin hunts, threading with Halloween shaped pasta, and making potions!
The children have enjoyed making obstacle courses to practise their balancing and co-ordination!
Next week is half term with holiday club running on Monday and Tuesday. We have one last space left on Monday. Please let myself or Miss Warren know if you’d like to book in.
You should have all received an email recently with dates for your diary for the next half term. If you haven’t received it check your junk boxes or email me to resend it to you.
Preschool resumes on Monday 3rd November.
Have a lovely week!
Sam, Chloe, Claire, Lisa, Jo & Sharon
