Welcome back everyone and a big welcome to our new children!
I’m sure you are all as delighted as we are to see some sunshine at last! ☀️ However with the return of the sun comes our first request for all children to have their sun cream applied before they arrive at preschool. We can reapply cream to those children who stay all day; please could you hand in a named bottle for us to use and ask to sign the permission form. 👍
On the plus side; we have used the good weather as an opportunity to have our snack outside!
This week we have been busy engaging in mathematical play and have been talking about numbers, shapes and measures.
We made a mud kitchen outside and here we can explore differences in weight and capacity and talk about numbers and counting in a stimulating way. It also provides opportunities for role play and motor skill practise. Please keep your fingers crossed that the dry weather continues as we don’t want too much mud, despite the name!
Next Friday we will be holding our Muddy Puddle Walk for Save the Children. This will be between 1 and 3 pm and should be great fun! We would be very grateful for any volunteers to help out and if you do not usually attend this session you are welcome to come along with your child. If you would like to donate to this charity event you can do so on the following webpage:

THANK YOU!
Finally an update on our duck children! They are still doing very well and are growing daily, as is evident below:
