This week we have been talking about remembrance day and doing poppy related activities. We discovered that as well as red poppies there are also purple poppies which commemorate the contribution of animals during conflicts. The children managed the two minute silence on Monday very well!
We have also been outside a lot, both on a welly walk and in the garden. Some children decided to draw around each other with the chalk and compare their relative sizes, which is an early maths skill.
We also got the climbing frame out so that the children could practice their gross motor skills. It’s important for them to learn to use equipment safely and become aware of how to do this with our help.
We’ve had a lovely week!
It was lovely to see all of you at the parents evening on Monday. Don’t forget though that you never need to wait for one if you would like to discuss anything about your child and their time at preschool, or would even like to have a chat! We have an open door policy and are always more than happy to see you.
This week Sam Matthews has been on a first aid course.
We would like to let you know that the school admissions portal is now open and you can begin the process for choosing and applying for a primary school. Here is a link for the information that you need:

Have a lovely weekend everyone. Take care and see you next week. ❤️❤️❤️
